Interview with Carl Maxwell

When did you first start writing?
I started writing about 10 years ago. When I decided to write about truck driving.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I was writing a short story for school and when I sent it in the teacher liked it and wanted me to expand on it in 200 words when i finished what she wanted I had two chapters.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The chance to get my work out to the people.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords lets me get out to as many people as I can.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When I see the people who have read my book and enjoyed it so much they want more.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are my life. If it were not for the fans the people in the book would die.
What are you working on next?
I have two books I am working on Jill Warrior of the Universe Planet of the Dragons. Jill must save the dragons from the Vampires
Also I am working on How to be a successful owner operator where people who want to own or do own their own truck can learn how to be successful.
Who are your favorite authors?
I guess I would have to say Steven King would be my Favorite.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I still drive a truck from Oklahoma to West Texas.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes it was about 35 years ago about a young boy who was an collector for his uncles loan shark business.
