Seriously it may have been around five years ago, but I've always dabbled with song writing, poetry etc.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The Boleyn Effect tells the story of whether a woman could seduce a man of great standing using the tricks of Anne Boleyn. I love Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and wanted to experiment with the idea that a woman of today could what she did.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King and James Herbert share the number one spot, but close behind are some Hist Fic authors who I love and admire: Ben Kane, Giles Kristian, S.J.A Turney and S.J Bolton.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
That's a tough one. Writing is such a lonely job that sometimes you've got to pull yourself from the bubble and socialise, which I try and do. Watch movies and go to gigs.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was about an angel who had fallen on to earth called Esta and she was helped by four children. I can't really remember the plot very well, but I've considered looking at the idea again.
What is your writing process?
This is probably not the right thing to say, but I just write and write and then worry about the technical stuff later. I basically call it vomiting information before the clean up starts.
Describe your desk
Choatic. I am on OCD nightmare. But I can't bear for it to be touched or tidied until I chose to do it.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle Fire, but I wish I'd stuck to the older model.
What are you working on next?
I'm in the process of finishing off a book called Immortal, which is biblical, supernatural and a thriller. It basically looks at the possibility of a Second Coming. I am also collaborating with a writer friend on a fantasy.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first book I ever read was Gobbolino the Witches Cat. I loved it and still have my copy. It stirred my interest in the supernatural.
