Interview with Jerry Carlton
Published 2013-12-05.
When did you first start writing?
I am sure it was about age 5, but due to my age now, I have no independent memory of the actual event.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Reno, Nevada, but grew up and went to school in the San Francisco Bay area. I was very fortunate to live in an era of change. The 60s and all that happened, influenced me more than anyone could imagine.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I am currently working on several projects. The Water District will be published next. It deals with the personalities involved in managing a small local water district, and a strange sequence of events leading to mistrust, homicide, and the discovery of the age old question.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The love of life.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Enjoying everything, watching everything, and experiencing all that I can.
