Who are your favorite authors?
My fav authors are EL James, Sylvia Day, Stephanie Meyer and I have recently read Seduced by innocence written by Kimberly Kinrade.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Mostly when I am not writing I spend a lot of time with my husband and two children. Even though I am not writing I always have story plots running around my head....
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I have my own fan page www.facebook.com/kerrycarr2012 and I have liked a lot of reviewing pages. They always have posts or Goodreads.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first actual novel I sat down and wrote was Bring me to life. I know its not my best as I was new to everything. It really did make me happy how so many people loved the book and that encouraged me.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up and live in Oxford... So many wonderful writers are from Oxford and it is such a beautiful place, full of history. All my books are based in Oxford. I can't really say it has influenced me, but it is inspiring...
When did you first start writing?
I start to write when I was 13 years.. As I grew older I never had the time. Last year, I just really had this big urge to try and see if I could do it. The start of Bring me to Life kept playing on my mind, so I thought just do it. Once I started I really couldn't stop.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My Latest book is called Closer.. It's a paranormal-coming of age romance. The main characters are Tammy and Dante- a vampire. Dante's family is cursed which goes back for centuries. Tammy is forced to move in with his family and then you finally learn the extent of the curse and why she is needed... So far people have found it very gripping and love how you are always left with a cliff hanger..
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
With Smashwords I have the option myself to make my books free or not. That's the difference, I am in charge. I always make my books free which helps to get my work out there.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love creating characters, putting them into unknown situations... It's like living your own soap opera and you get to decide every outcome. You're the master of your own little world, then you get to share it with everyone else.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean everything to me. If I didn't have a little following I wouldn't write. Their the ones that keep me going.
What are you working on next?
I really would love to write a second book for The Mercy of Devotion, but, I have a habit of getting side tracked. I can't really say what I will be working on next... It will be whatever comes to me in a dream or based on the next best song I hear.
What do you read for pleasure?
I have this annoying habit of finding a series of books and reading them over and over again. It was Fifty shades of Grey but after the 5th time I discovered Twilight!! I am reading Breaking dawn at the moment (SECOND TIME!!)
