Describe your desk
I have this beautiful wood desk that I picked up at a second hand shop. It's very unusual and makes me feel like writing.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Southern California in a large family.
When did you first start writing?
When I was around 16.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I had some unusual experiences growing up in this big haunted house.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have loved reading every since I learned to read. The library was my favorite place.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
They let me self epublish with ease.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Creating fun stories. Using experiences I have had.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are who I am writing for.
What are you working on next?
I just finished a sci-fi novel. It's being edited.
Who are your favorite authors?
Charlotte & Emily Bronte
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To enjoy another beautiful day in Palm Springs.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love video games.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
As soon as the Kindle came out there was a buzz about no more paper books.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
A one page story about a big, empty house.
What is your writing process?
I write free flowing. I sit and write until I am tired, after a few thousand words. No rereading.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
All the Nancy Drew novels. I loved them.
How do you approach cover design?
I like to think about something in the novel and find a picture to focus on that part.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Fahrenheit 451, The Witching Hour, The Hustler, Kept Boy, Dead on Yout Feet
