Interview with Marlowe , Sr

Published 2013-11-16.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The thought of writing the next few lines of my book!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Listening to music, watching movies, etc. I am a hardcore movie buff, and I love music from the 80s! I don't read all that much, though! I know I gotta get out of that habit and start reading more!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Well, like I said, I am not much of a reader. I read old classics mainly (I was a student of English literature) and that apart anything else I can lay my hands on!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
No, not really. it must be somewhere in my old shelf, rotting in dust. Maybe the termites have gobbled it up by now, who knows!
What is your writing process?
I am more of a seat-of-the-pants writer, but even for that I need some inspiration. No inspiration means little writing output!

Sometimes I get inspired from my dreams. Of course not all my dreams are vivid and that's such a shame, I wish they were. But some obviously are and they help me write quite a bit.

How do you approach cover design?
Well a friend of mine is the best graphics designer I know so why approach anyone else? ;)
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Calibre
Describe your desk
Disorganized, messy
When did you first start writing?
Maybe when I was 12 years old or so!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My friend: she really convinced me (I don't think it was her intention but anyway) to join the world of self-publishing. She is a pretty good writer herself (actually I think a better writer than me) and doing well in the publishing world! I mentioned her name in my book Phantasy because it was she who helped me in the arduous task of formatting my book!
What are you working on next?
Some secret novel I won't tell about because I am a bit superstitious hehe
