I try to think about what the book is about. Oftentimes, I may create Sims to represent my characters and then I can use them for the cover.

Mostly classical literature or books by Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Ursula K. Le Guin, or even writing (published or unpublished) from my friends.

It is hard to get published by a traditional publisher. I always self published my own books and I used to be a small independent publisher as well. I learned the publisher can't do any real promotion especially without money. I find that no one can stop me from writing or publishing what I write when I do it myself. I feel like I have to write and release at least 100 books into the world. I think the traditional publishers would try to stop me or at least discourage me from writing. I am not convinced they know what good writing is. There's a wide variety in the popular writing and indie writing from different people who do know how to write and some who just write crap.

Smashwords allows me to upload as many ebooks for free as I want to. They also let you set the price on the book with the option of giving as many away for free as you want to. At least the free books are there for the readers to try and see if they want to read the other books.

Just writing is a great joy to me. It helps me to maintain what little sanity I have left.

A lot. They are the ones who will determine how many copies of my books get printed.

Just knowing I have something to write, whether it be poetry or another novel set in my universe.
