Describe your desk

My mind is chaotic and my immediate environment must be in order so that my imagination can run wild on unrestrained and not weakened by such things that need to be cleaned, repaired or arranged. On the other hand, when I feel I need to escape there is always something to occupy me. For example sort my LPs alphabetically by the drummer's mom's first boyfriend's name ...

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I was born in Asmara, lived some years in Addis Ababa and later moved to Stockholm where I went through my childhood and happy days later confused adolescence.

When did you first start writing?

I started writing lyrics. One day I got a lot of words over that suddenly stood on its own feet. I could embrace it without music and that started my urge to write. Oh... and it doesn't hurt to have a an unrestrained approach towards everything.

What's the story behind your latest book?

It's short stories and reflections from my blog.

What motivated you to become an indie author?

I want to have control and also to piss of some of my detractors.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?

When the story surprises me and make my rolling on the floor laughing my a.. of. It's weird but it happens more often than not.
