Interview with Travis Breeding

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town called Huntington, Indiana. 25 miles southwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The main way my place of birth has influenced my writing is through my experiences in going to grammar and secondary school here in my hometown.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in April of 2009. My first book I want to be like you was published in November of 2010. Now just 3 years later I have 12 books published and have several new ideas in the works.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book is the first in a series of books called "The Autism Adventure Series. Book 1 is called Autism, Now What? This story was inspired by me wanting to have a series of books for kids with Autism or even nerutoypical kids that resembled the Boxcar Children series that I adored growing up. I am doing this series to show what the Autism journey is all about to help show both parents and children that they are not alone on their journey.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I was motivated to become an Author when I was being asked questions about my life with Autism. I knew that there were many things that I wish my parents had known when I was growing up that I wanted to share with today's parents in hopes that they can help their children through the Autism Journey.
