A Grant
Biography
A Grant is my creative half. Some of the elements of my writing come out of my own life and my experiences (obviously!)
Vigilante is my first novel and is a commentary on where our society could be heading if we do not make a hasty u-turn. Without giving anything away I can tell you that this a story about retribution run out of control and the moral dilemma we face when contronted with the corruption of justice and our society. This is a thriller through and through - there is action and the tension builds with every chapter.
Vigilante is a novel that should have been on the shelf 10 years ago, but as is so often the case with writers, I allowed myself to be sidetracked and I lost belief in myself on the advice of people I should have ignored.
Armageddon basically picks up where Vigilante left off - there are new characters and twists, but it shows but one of the ways that things can spin totally out of control if the right set of circumstances present themselves.
Dragonscream is something totally different.I am told that people don't read poetry anymore and that I am wasting my time with it as there is no money in it. In my opinion nothing captures passion and emotion as effectively as poetry, so I will keep writing poems whenever the inspiration hits.
Dragonscream is a collection of three short poems with raw emotion at their core.
Amy is my first stab at a horror. I wanted to create something ordinary that takes a turn down the path of the expected and yet it still catches you by surprise and sends a shiver down your spine when my imagery and your imagination combine.
As to what you can expect in future, I am not all that sure of what to expect myself. I love writing a good thriller or horror, so those will always be around, but I also have a few ideas for horrors, some twists in the tail that have to be written and some other stuff that may be softer and more oriented toward the direction I go with my poetry.
Please keep your eye on this page and my author pages because even if one piece is not entirely your cup of tea, something else is bound to come along that will be to your taste.
