Just what the doctor ordered to cheer up a dreary wait in a hospital room. Entertaining, even intriguing, enjoyable read. I liked the admittedly unlovable main character, and also got a kick out of the female characters. Happy there will be another.
  • The Travel Auction on June 29, 2013

Lovely book which so describes the travel route, one imagines being there on the trail also. Sensitive to the female character's situation, and realistic, in my opinion, having made three trips myself with a person with the same challenge. Great story, I hope to see more from this author.

Reviewed below, but lost the stars...adding this review to get the stars back.

Outstanding thrills and spills penned by exciting author JD Nixon. Likable characters introduced, as well as returning character development continues to satisfy as relationships intensify. Fresh and exciting adventures keep the reader enjoying twists and surprises. Ignored most of my day's responsibilities since I kept sneaking in time to read a little bit more. Glad there will be another in series, but this ending was not one of those abrupt cliffhangers tossed out by less talented writers. Thanks for the smiles. (And no problem with downloading on first morning of new release)

  • Two-Hundred Steps Home Volume Twelve on Dec. 30, 2013

Thought-provoking, and satisfying, this wrap up of Claire's journey keeps the reader coming back for more. Lovely venues and likable characters, author Amanda Martin delivers another success in her own story telling journey. I only hope the adventure continues. Good show!!
