  • Hormones, Working For You on March 12, 2015

    Hormones play such an important role is keeping us youthful and healthy. Parks lays out the reasons why in a simple way. He also goes into what we can do about keeping our homone levels at an adequate level like we had during our reproductive years. This is an excellent book for anyone, but especially those facing menopause and past menopause. But this is not a book for only women! It is just as important for men to keep their hormone levels up, as well. Parks does well at explaining why. Great read!
  • Aging is Preventable on March 12, 2015

    The crux of this book is the description of the aging processes and identifies what one can do to slow and eventually prevent aging. The key is hormone decline and telomere erosion. If science can successfully test and prevent the processes, who knows how long humans can live? Personally, I plan to take the steps necessary to slow down my own aging process outlined in the book. As with all of his books, Parks is brilliant in presenting the scientific facts in a way that anyone can understand.

    OK. Include me in the group that felt crystal healing is bogus and only used by charlatan's for financial gain. My reason for reading this book was curiousity. I wanted the truth. After reading other books by Parks, I knew he would delve deep into the scientific facts and get to the truth. He also had nothing to gain by the outcome of his findings. While he found the proof that crystals do provide healing powers and explains it thoroughly, I still will not purchase crystals until more research is done on how the human body can better absorb those healings powers (vibrations). As always, an insightlful read by Parks.

    WOW. This is amazing information. I often wondered the same question, "Where did Cain get his wife?" Now I know! In my own religious journey in life, I grew up Southern Baptist but converted to Catholocism as a young adult. The fact that fundamentalist Christians take the Bible literally never sat well with me, even as a child. Then once I discovered thw bible version used by Catholics today had the seven(?) original books that had been omitted from the King James version, how could I continue to follow the fundamentalist belief system? It was natural to convert. However, there are still many questions that no religion can answer. I highly recommend this book by Walter Parks along with the book, "God is Dark Energy". If you have had lingering questions about the correlation between religion and scientific creation, both are a must read.

    Parks makes a great case for paranormal activity through scientific evidence. But the story of Amy brings out the skeptic in me. I've never been one to believe this phenomena, but it is entertaining! An interesting read.

    Another stellar book written by Walter Parks. This time he researches the origins of human life. It is evident that human life is the newcomer, compared to animal and plant life. All life has DNA that can be traced. It was surprising to find that human life originated a mere 228,000 years ago! Excellent book.

    It makes sense that an asteroid will destroy mankind. Parks backs up his statement with scientific documentation and from Bible passages. As with Parks other books, he challenges what we have been taught to believe through religion by exploring the facts, not just hearsay. While no one can predict the future with 100% accuracy, he makes a good case for what will ultimately be our final demise.

    Many of us can relate to two lifelong friends pondering through the years whether there is a God. The conclusion is that there is no definitive answer. It seems likely we will discover life on other planets. Does that mean there is a God? God or no God, life is truly a marvelous miracle. This book reminds you of that beautiful fact. Well-done.

    What an interesting behind-the-scenes look at the Strategic Defense Initiative from a man actually involved and instrumental in the concept -- Walter Parks! It makes you wonder where the US would be now had Reagan not put the initiative in place? It not only saved the aerospace industry but also catapulted the US for what what we needed to fight terrorist attacks and other war related issues. So interesting!
  • Atlantis The Eyewitnesses on March 14, 2015

    Whether Atlantis existed or not, Parks is convincing that it could be real with his thorough scientific and literary research on the subject. I'm not convinced whether it was mythological or not. If it did exist, a tsumani overtaking the island could have caused it to "sink into the ocean". Seems more likely that falling out of favor with the gods.
