After breaking up with her girlfriend Lauren moves to the quiet town of Mountain Creek. She stays with her friend Emma who introduces her to an interesting cast of characters, most importantly the local vet, Susan. Lauren is smitten from the start. Lauren and the rest of the gang get involved in a mystery while Susan is faced with threats of death... The book started out a bit slowly but became quite engaging as it went along. I really liked the plot and the various personalities of the different characters. It was really great that Ms DeLuna used all their personal experiences and not just that of one or two. The development of the characters was also wonderful. It was lovely to watch them change and find what they needed while maintaining friendships. I think the relationships between the friends was the core element to the story in spite of the mystery and romance. There were a few sex scenes but they were mostly kissing then fade to black. It was a perfect way handle them in this book. I've not had the pleasure to read anything by Ms. DeLuna before but the next book I read will be hers.

What would you choose? Khyra is a barmaid waiting tables when a mysterious stranger catches her attention. The stranger tells her tells her she deserves a better life and if she wants an alternative life to meet her at the stables at dawn. The rest is for you to read about. This is a tender and sweet story. I love how Khyra pines for “The Saint” and comes to help her live her alternative. There is a touch of romance, no sex, just a genuine peace that a long term couple can have. It is a beautiful story that makes me want to read more of Ms DeLuna's works.

Red or White My first thought after finishing this book was AWWWW!!! I loved it! The ending was so sweet... actually the whole book was really good. This is the story of Aisha whose mother wants to see her settled down with a nice girl. Mom claims she can find her the perfect one in only six months. Will Mom succeed, how long will her search take and will Aisha let herself love again? I found this book very well written with a good flow and a solid story line. The characters are easy to care about and identify with. I enjoyed Aisha's bits of humor. I could see this story actually happening. This was a fun read that went surprisingly fast, Great job Ms Andre!!
