Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?I
I was born and raised in the city of Winnipeg. I think it was my love of reading that led to me wanting to also write. I also spent a lot of time daydreaming.
When did you first start writing?
When I was about 12, I wrote an obituary for a mouse. My dad found it so hilarious that he took it to work to show his friends. As an adult I started with putting the occasional article in the Parrot Post, My first book, Take Her and Run wasn't written until my own children were grown.

  • Cowboy Ending - Overdrive: Book One on Sep. 21, 2013

I enjoyed reading this story. Usually, I'll ignore anything with the word "cowboy" in the title as well as anything listed as fantasy. Since it wasn't a western and wasn't listed as fantasy, was based in my home town and had an interesting topic I figured I'd give it a whirl. Could have been a better story if it had been more realistic. Or had a reasonable explanation for the weirdness of the main character (besides being born in an electrical storm.)It was easy to get engrossed in the story and characters. I'm curious to see what the next story will be about.
