I was sufficiently engrossed in this book that I signed up to smashwords to buy part 2 and 3 in the series as soon as I finished reading book 1 (06:23 on a Monday morning and I haven't slept yet). An interesting story which draws from some classic sci-fi themes but has a refreshing core of originality.
About the only negative comment I have regarding the book is the main characters near-obsession with sleep - Every time a crucial plot point is about to be revealed, she suddenly becomes very tired and we have to wait for a few pages. All in all, a pretty minor complaint.
I love the DRM-Free epubs which I can read on my Android mobile - which is the main reason why I had no hesitation buying more e-books. Assuming they're as good, I suspect I'll be buying more from this author in future.
The book is as well written as others I've read from the author but I'm personally finding the books in this series to be a little drawn out, covering a very short period of time, often centred around the main character recovering from *something*. I'm also finding the books a little short - I finished this book in an evening. In future books, I'd personally prefer to have slightly less detail and more events...
