  • The Forever Kind on April 19, 2013

The Forever Kind is a romance book set in the small town of Bramble Gap, AZ. Growing up in a small town has both good and bad sides, as Beth O’Neal knows well. Beth, a shy and self conscious woman, finds herself in a situation she’s never wanted to be in. She’s the sole focus of the town gossips. Beth fears what her long time crush, Gabe, will think of her alleged pregnancy. Even though Beth and Gabe have known each other for most of their lives, they find that there are still things they don’t know about each other. As they begin to explore their feelings, they find it’s hard to stay away from each other, but is it just lust or is it something more? This book was a quick, easy read. I loved the sense of family and small town community the author portrayed. The writing was excellent and just detailed enough to help you understand the town dynamics without going into too much detail. Beth and Gabe’s situation was easy to relate to and made you hope for a happy ending. I recommend this book to those people who would love a good, quick read, love story without a lot of drama or suspense. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. • Reclaimed, A Christmas Short Story on Oct. 13, 2013

I’m a Marliss Melton fan and this short story does not disappoint in any way. Even though it has been awhile since I’ve read some of the books in this series, I was able to jump right into the story and not feel lost with the characters or referenced events. Reclaimed is loaded with action and suspense. I loved the ‘mature romance’ aspect of the story as well, giving us all hope that passion is still relevant as we age and second chances can be had. I would recommend this book. Rating: 4 Heat Rating: Mild Reviewed by: Karen C Review Courtesy of My Book Addiction and More
