Ashley Barron

Biography

Ashley Barron loves books, sunglasses, and all things Washington, D.C. She is a self-published author, blogger, and entrepreneur who is forever fascinated by the power of small business.

The idea for IndieBookWeek.com originated from a series of posts written on Ashley's blog, a place where she regularly explores the topics of writing, self-publishing, blogging, marketing, and building an online community.

One of the biggest challenges Ashley encountered during her journey from writer to author was the difficulty of finding an effective way to share and promote the successes of fellow writers, bloggers, and self-published and indie authors. The simple format of her first blog didn't offer the ability to showcase more than one topic or author at a time.

After six months of planning and design, the first phase of IndieBookWeek.com launched in March 2013. New features will continue to be added to provide a wide range of marketing options for the community she so proudly joined in 2011.

Over the past 18 months, Ashley has published a novel, short stories, and several blogging and tweeting guides designed for beginners. All of her stories are about love.

Ashley is active on Twitter as @dcPriya.
