When did you first start writing?
When I was a teenager, I would always get a pen and a piece of paper to capture my emotions and my thoughts. About four to five years ago I reconnected to my passion. At my work there was a gentleman who would show me his books, then he ask me a question that would change my life, "have you ever thought about writing a book?" At first I smiled, then would say with little confidence ," One day I'll get there". Deep down inside I did have a longing to write, but I didn't thought that I could do it, or that anyone would want to read what I had to say, because I'm just an ordinary person. My confidence was on trial. One day a strong emotion came over me because I was consistently displeased about the direction of my life. Something was missing, I was living a life outside of purpose, I had no clarity about the purpose for my life. It was at this point when I made the decision to just to express myself without hesitation. To write exactly what I was feeling and the challenges I faced and this was the birth of "Created to Stand Out Not Fit in," my first published book.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest and sensational book, "Created to Stand Out Not Fit In" promotes self love and self appreciation. It addresses the issue of following the crowd or duplicating other people. Too many people are conforming to the standards of others and compromising their own values and principles just to be accepted and loved by organizations, families and friends. In addition the purpose of "Created to Stand Out Not Fit In" is to help readers discover purpose so that they can lead and STAND OUT from the crowd. It also teaches to embrace who and what you are, because difference is what makes the world a much brighter place.
