  • Not Kid's Games - The Adventures Of Janr Ssor on Sep. 25, 2011

I read sci-fi to "get away" from reality and stress and relax before bed time. I particularly like short stories. This short book had so many subtle concepts it literally kept my mind running in circles like a detective trying to put together the pieces of a crime scene. It did not lull me to sleep. On the bright side, if you like something very thought provoking and imaginative this is it. I agree with the review that said it painted lots of pictures in his head. In this respect it was very unusual and filled with sensory images that made me feel like I had been there. Too bad it is not a full length book!

I downloaded this story from a friend, who got it here, since it is free. I happen to like short stories rather than Novels. This was Excellent! I used to read a lot of Sherlock Holmes because they are short. This is short but it has an amazing amount of details in its 10 or so pages. Great conclusion too! Really left me thinking. It took me a longer time to read then I expected because it had so much to think about in a short time frame. What really surprised me is my wife loved it and she does not usually read Sci-fi.
  • Timeless Search - The Adventures Of Janr Ssor on July 17, 2012

Fun! "Timeless Search" is a fresh experience, very unlike any other book I have read. I read the adventures of Huckleberry Finn when I was a kid. As a city kid, it was a mind opening experience and something I now wanted to try! Now as an adult, this did book the same for me.
  • The Final War on May 11, 2013

Great Story! Easy 5 stars. Got me hooked from the first few pages then only got hotter and hotter. I have read 'Timeless Search' and I have read 'Not Kid's Games,' both by Janr Ssor and loved both. In Star Wars (which I loved too), when I finished the book I was thrust back to reality. When I finished this book, I felt like my reality had a new dimension for me. Like this could happen. I love that! When I was a kid scary ghost stories did that for me. They made me feel like I had to look behind my back for a few days. 'The Final War' did the same for me, I am still wondering if I am in the book, in reality or if they both are the same. Loved it!

Just found this short story searching for sci-fi. It is very short but lots of fun! The language, images and descriptions are hypnotic, they really take you there and immerse you in the writers dream! Fun Story! I highly recommend it. Btw, I have not used smashwords much. This is my second time. This is very cool.
