Becky Due is in love with life and passionate about women's issues. She's gone from homeless to happy, because she stood for change and found her first love--Writing!

Becky Due is the new voice of women’s fiction. She has the courage, honesty and writing style for today’s busy women. She will leave you feeling strong, self-confident, independent, and in control of your life.

Her books have won, and been finalists in, several independent competitions including the 2011 National Indie Excellence Awards, 2010 Indie Excellence Awards and the 2009 IPPY Awards.

Her novels are not the same story with different characters; she has the ability to cross genres from light-hearted romance to heart-racing suspense to keep her readers entertained and inspired.

Becky has been a guest on national TV and radio programs, and the subject of numerous newspaper and national magazine articles for empowering women with her books. She has served as a guest speaker at Women’s Resource Centers, Shelters, Colleges and High Schools throughout the United States. Becky has had extensive training at Victim Services, worked the 24-Hour Sexual Assault Crisis-Line and was a Victim's Advocate where she offered one-on-one assistance and support to rape victims. In 2007, she started Women Going Forward, the first national women’s telephone support group, which ran for almost two years. After receiving much recognition for her books, Becky’s focus turned back to her writing and empowering women with her novels.

What would you like your readers to know about you?
•I was born in Minnesota, raised in Colorado, returned to Minnesota in my early twenties and now I’m back in Colorado.
•I love to travel. I’ve traveled most of the United States and Canada, and several Caribbean Islands. I’ve been to Bermuda, London, Istanbul, Dubai, Tanzania, Kenya, Cairo…
•I am an introvert but love spending time with friends who make me laugh.
•I can’t multitask.
•I have OCD type issues that cause people to be very uncomfortable in my house… or is it that I’m uncomfortable?
•I don’t have children but love my nieces and nephews like crazy… especially now that I see they have a sense of humor and they get mine.
•I have a mean cat and a friendly dog… they make me laugh.
•I eat sugar cereal for dinner almost every night.
•When I’m nervous, I laugh. Unfortunately, that means if somebody gets hurt in front of me, I will probably laugh… But I am CPR Certified so I’ll try to help.
•I’m an author. Writer. Struggling artist. This should explain a lot…
•My novels deal with tough issues, but you’ll always find a little humor mixed in.
•I’m a very private person and therefore I’m good at keeping secrets.
•I’m a loyal friend.
•My biggest pet peeve is when people generalize. All Women are ________. All Men are ________. All Republicans are ________. All Democrats are ________.
•I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs.
•My books, especially the first one, might lead people to believe I have an issue with men… I don’t. I love men, I’m crazy madly in love with men… and women.
•I’m heterosexual.
•I workout at least 5 days a week and I’m a Certified Personal Trainer—A certificate I don’t use but continue to update year after year.
•I love love love art; I love looking at it and I love creating it.
•I have my real-estate license—inactive.
•I love marching bands… I’m obsessed with marching bands. I get the chills while listening. Watching.
•I don’t like mushrooms or onions.
•I love hip-hop and R&B music though I often listen to the 90s station and Love Songs.
•I’m a true romantic. I love Romance.
•BlackBerry or IPhone? BlackBerry.
•I like routines, lists and schedules, but I also like to rebel from them.
•I decorated my home in muted earthy tones that I find soothing. I painted my garage neon green, yellow and turquoise, which stirs excitement every time I come home or go out.
• I’m an early riser. I love mornings.
•One of my daily goals is to laugh out loud—a goal I always achieve.
