Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the industrial North West of England, but this did nothing to influence my writing, in fact, it stifled it. My writing only took off once I left the area and fled north of the border into Scotland, onto Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire.
When did you first start writing?
I have been writing since I was about five years old, always the precocious scribbler in my class. I won an essay competition at school, and always got top marks for creative writing in English classes. My writing tailed off during college, ceasing altogether during my career, except for a few pieces for the workplace magazine, and during my time raising my children. It started up again with a vengeance almost the second I moved to my Scottish home 9 years ago.
Anima mea; my life, my soul - in this life, and the next. The afterlife isn't all harps and clouds. Riddled with bureaucracy, it can be bloody hard work, but Maxine won't let little inconveniences like death and red tape keep her from her loved ones.
Linda Lewis loves two very different men - at the same time, and is content in her loving triangle until fate intervenes, bringing the two men together. When she falls pregnant, a plan is hatched - one man is the father, the other is led to believe he is, but which one is which?
*Some adult content and strong language*
Brian MacDonald is a professional fly casting instructor with twin passions - fishing and sex, although not necessarily in that order. He begins each season with a clean slate, a fresh supply of condoms and a charming smile - and then he meets the mysterious Lily.
Caution - explicit adult content - not for anglers of a nervous disposition.
Nathaniel is treading an emotional knife-edge and the abyss is beckoning. Living with unresolved guilt and grief is tearing him apart. Enter temporary housekeeper, Megan. Despite having her own baggage in tow, will she be able to bring some balance back to his life, or is it already too late?
