Biography

Byron Ray was born in Brownwood, Texas and lived his childhood in the nearby town of Early, graduating from Early High School in 1998.
The release of “Our Precious Moments” in 2010, marks the first book of a two part horror series. Book Two: “The Devil’s Paper Doll” is scheduled for release in early 2012. His passion for splatterpunk and pulp creates a style that reflects horror in its most deviant forms. Byron Ray creates images that make you writhe in your seat, but his rich and twisted storytelling keeps you peeking through your fingers while the boogieman approaches from the shadows.
A new dystopian drama “The Guardian Ear of The Radio Nurse” is scheduled for release through publisher Gryffnperch Books in September of 2011.
Hidden Facts:
-A car accident left Byron with long term memory loss and infrequent bouts of sleepwalking.
-Merrick, the inferno in Our Precious Moments, is based on the geography of his hometown.
-Byron owns Sleepwalking Media, a small entertainment company specializing in karaoke shows.
-He spent three years as a professional wrestler (under the name Cesare The Sleepwalker) for the underground MHPW. He and his partner held the tag team championship for two solid years.
