C. Borden is a business owner, wife, and mother. She enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and dabbles in nature photography. When she is not following her passion in storytelling, she is most likely enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, or curled up with a good book from one of her favorite authors.

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started writing in middle school after my class finished reading "Z for Zechariah." I had read other amazing novels by that time, always being an avid reader. However, something about this particular book woke in me a hunger and a story of my own that had to be told. I immediately started working on my own little story, which I still have hidden away somewhere, and that one spawned another, and another. Today, I have over a dozen started stories. However, when I started working on the Mythnium world, this world started to consume my ideas, thoughts, and even my dreams.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing brings me a sense of accomplishment. As a child, I wrote to better express myself. As a teenager, I wrote to learn about myself. Now as an adult, I write to get the stories in my head OUT of my head. To see them on my screen or on paper is to see them become real. Every new character that gets added to my drafts is like a new child born to me. Every new location that gets added to the world of Mythnium becomes a place I have been, or have longed to be. Writing is like an external extension of my mind, which brings me joy certainly, but I have to admit- sometimes it can bring me great frustration.
