C.S. Torres

Biography

Check out my three ebooks: The Vampire Murders, a novel (it's a thriller); Shortcomingz, an eclectic short story collection that I purposely misspelled (call it one of my shortcomings); and Mattie's Compass, a Young Adult Sci-Fi Fantasy/Mystery/Adventure (a little of everything).

A short script I co-authored, Kid Justice, (credited on IMDB), is a Western produced by Blind Mice Pictures as part of the 48 Hour Film Project, Nashville, 2009. It is on YouTube (search for Kid Justice, then make sure you find the Western that says 48 Hour Film Project, Nashville, 2009).

My foray into the world of screenwriting also includes eight feature screenplays (two of which are co-authored) as well as several other shorts in addition to Kid Justice. Several of my feature screenplays are listed via Inktip.com for entertainment professionals who are seeking award winning scripts.

Currently, I'm adapting my YA novel - Mattie's Compass - as a screenplay.

This is a collection of short stories covering a variety of topics and themes. Some of the stories are told in forthright fashion, others border on magical realism. A few offer a poetic peep into the past, several delve into science fiction and the rest, I hope, are a bit avant-garde. Enjoy!

In the middle of New Orleans during the height of Mardi Gras people are turning up dead, their blood removed, two holes in the neck. The vampires are back! Well, one, and she's not your average bloodsucker.
