Life is short, and love is what we strive for as human beings. This is why Carla Doolin writes contemporary adult romance. Her books are high on the spice scale, so take a pass if you don't like steam beyond the bedroom door. She writes about people who are so real, they could be your neighbours, and you'll wish they were your friends. It's hard not to fall a little in love with her characters, and you will find yourself rooting for them long before the happy ever after.
Carla wishes you love and happy reading as she walks her dogs with her most excellent husband, or rides away into the sunset on her Harley, waving the cool wave (her hubby says it's not cool to wave like you're swatting at seagulls). She'd love to hear from you. She can be found any day of the week on Facebook, Twitter, or at her website.
When did you first start writing?
My first book was a critical success. Mischievous Marvin won accolades from my dear grade five teacher, and garnered me a ten out of ten for my writing assignment. From that day forward, my writing was confined to diaries and journals, and later forums and emails. Deep into the winter of 2011, Spitfire took root in my dreams, and worked its way through my fingers onto the keyboard of my laptop.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I had a core group of wonderful girlfriends, and we keep in touch to this day. We shared a love of rock music, beach days and Moody Blue wine. We also shared a love of happy ever after romances. Over the years, one or more of them could be heard telling me that I should write a book. Imagine their surprise when I told them that I finally had!

Jillian is the darling of Puffin Cove, and charms everyone she meets. Everyone, that is, except the audaciously gorgeous Landon. They've had claws out and swords brandished at each other since they were in diapers. But on a stormy winter night, their weapons of self-preservation malfunction, and the thick veneer they've formed against each other cracks. Warning: Adult language and sexual content.

Kane is healing on his little slice of heaven in Puffin Cove, Newfoundland. But one look at a beautiful redhead in a quiet pub, and the life he has so carefully rebuilt tilts on its axis.
When Laura leaves her empty life behind, she certainly doesn't expect to fall instantly in love with a small east coast town, and a crusty, sexy Irishman. Warning: Adult language and sexual content.
