    This is an amazing book! The alternate world that has been created by the author is so vividly portrayed, that you can picture it as a real place. The beginning is kind of a whirlwind. The author provides a lot of back-story and it may be a little difficult to keep clear at first. The main characters are four teenagers who are way too mature for their ages. They were drawn to each other due to their similarities, they thought, and bonded very tightly throughout their reincarnated childhoods. Eventually, they realize that they've lived before but don't remember much of their past lives. As fragments of their past lives began to come to them, they find that they're destined to travel to the alternate world to save their countrymen from an evil king. This king is convinced that one of the teens, Lily, is his soul mate, and he will do anything to get her to agree. Even kill her friends and anyone who helps her try to overthrow him. He visits her in her dreams and, though she is confused by these visits, she vows to save everyone from his tyranny. Each of the teens is a witch and have a special power and, once they venture to the other world, they learn there is a lot more to their abilities than they first thought. They meet a lot of assorted paranormal-type characters; witches, fairies, dragons, demons, and the adventure begins to take a lot of twists and turns. There's also romance, mystery, and some scary stuff. Everything a reader needs to keep them enthralled in a story and, really, isn't that what reading is all about?
