When did you first start writing?
I'm not sure. I've been writing as long as I can remember. It was just fun to tell stories, but sometimes I didn't have an audience, so I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget. It's always been fun to write.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My dragel stories have been a project that was years in the making. I've modeled them after the idea of a "virtual penny dreadful" in which there are short installments for a larger story over the course of the series. Each series focuses on a different character, such as Neilson Hewitt, and then follows them as they learn about their dragel selves and what's involved with the dragel culture. There's also dragons and elemental powers and magic, because that's always fun.
