I was born and raised in Oklahoma. My family has been here for many generations, before Oklahoma became a state, and was known as Indian Territory. I spent several years in West "By God" Virginia in my early twenties, and my husband is from the Mountaineer State. We've lived here so long he's become an "Okie" and loves Oklahoma as much as I do. We have two grown children and a granddog, Embry.
My business partner, Livia Reasoner, and I recently opened a publishing house, PRAIRIE ROSE PUBLICATIONS. We publish westerns, historicals, and western historical romance works of all lengths. Our imprint PAINTED PONY BOOKS publishes western and historical stories for Middle Grade Readers (9-12), Young Adults (13-17), and New Adults (18-24). Another imprint, TORNADO ALLEY PUBLICATIONS, publishes contemporary, fantasy, and science fiction for these age groups. And finally, FIRE STAR PRESS, our fourth imprint, publishes contemporary, fantasy and science fiction for adults.
