Colin Gibson

Biography

Born in a, soon to be condemned, inner-city slum in Birmingham England, those first seven years of my life provided the inspiration for my novel, 'Mrs McGilvery.' Not that any of my eccentric neighbours were ever actually accused of eating children, but to a nervous and imaginative six-year-old, it was only a matter of time until they were!

The only plaudits in an otherwise uninspiring education, were for the stories and poems that I wrote, but despite this I spent 25 years in sales after leaving school, writing only for my own amusement. The advent of e-publishing has finally enabled me to unleash 'Mrs McGilvery' on the world, and early reaction to it has been suitably encouraging. I am still deciding whether to release another of my 'gems.'
