From the author: I have always hated writing until three years ago when a visit to the library changed my attitude. After spending an hour pulling out nearly every book off the shelves to get my boys interested in something, anything really, I came home empty handed. I sat my two boys down at the kitchen table and said, “If you can’t find a book you like, we’ll have to write a book you like.” And that was all it took. We wrote one book per month during the summer about a boy named Jimmy that was kidnapped by a pirate. It was great fun, and I’ve been writing ever since!
I’ve lived in Fort Worth, Texas for the past sixteen years but grew up in Colorado. I have a wonderful husband and four kids—two girls and two boys.
I graduated from Brigham Young University where I received my degree in finance.
