Sex And Love For All Ages A provocative and entertaining novel that spans one man’s sexual adventures and emotional relationships from childhood into his sixties. The story is a sweeping saga of the protagonist’s interaction with several female characters, all lovingly drawn, humanly flawed, and realistically portrayed, sparking vivid memories of women I have known in my own life. Whether it be through sexual encounters or as close friends, Tommy's resulting growth and maturing wisdom over many decades is fascinating to watch. Though many parents may find the graphic nature of some of the scenes too sexually explicit, the more liberal-minded may wish to suggest that their late-teen children read the book, in order to help educate them as they become sexually active. For older readers, Barbara will bring back memories of those days when adolescent sex was all but totally forbidden, certainly by parents, but also by the general consensus of peers, whose cruel gossip could label a young girl a slut merely on the spreading of an (often false) rumor that she was no longer a virgin. Reliving the fears and thrills of those clandestine sexual encounters, and the love and heartbreak that often followed, was like taking a walk back in time for me. Barbara has become a permanent part of my personal library, and I have bought many copies for friends, including seniors, parents and teenagers in love.
