  • Angel's Kiss on Sep. 01, 2012
    (no rating)
I absolutely loved this book! With a unique story-line on angels and vampires, and slight elements of the ancient egyptian era, this book had a truly wonderful and captivating aspect that I do not always see in many other books. The main characters are portrayed as very strong but also remain vulnerable as a true person would be. Once I started reading, I could not put it down! I am truly impressed by the author's way of writing ... It truly makes me feel as if I am a part of the story itself and holds me captivated and definitely wanting more! :) I do hope to see further sequels coming in the future from this author with this story-line, and possibly different story-lines in the future as well. I look forward to following this author on her journey in writing books! :)

  • Summer In Salem on Dec. 03, 2012

I really enjoyed reading Summer In Salem! I became so engrossed in the book and I absolutely could not put it down!! The plot was very different from what I expected for a book that is set in Salem, but still embodied the spirit of Salem! Teagen is the main character and has been sheltered by her mother (in certain areas) for a good part of her life. She has been through a traumatic time recently, and when she goes to stay with her grandmother for a time, things really start to get interesting in her life. I don't want to give away any of the book, but I definitely recommend reading this book, especially if you are interested in witchcraft, paranormal, etc. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, hopefully we won't have to wait too long!! :) There is a little bit of proofreading that needs to be done still - mainly spelling and incorrect words in places, but it is very few and didn't affect my reading of the book at all. • Rising on Dec. 13, 2012

In one word ... Thrilling!!!! Enthralling! Suspenseful! Okay, so that was really three words, but that's okay!! :) Not only is Rising a completely new topic from what I've read, but the characters, the background, the thoughts, the actions, everything are all so relatable. This could be a story of something actually happening now or at any point in history or in our future. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. The only criticism I have is that, on my Nook, the font changes dramatically between the perspective of Gabe & Clara. It was a little distracting, but I was able to work around it. • Bright Star on Jan. 02, 2013

I enjoyed reading Bright Star and really liked the story of the book. If you like dystopian fantasy you will definitely like this book! I was pulled into the story and before I knew it, it was at the end of the book. I am looking forward to reading the next installment to see what happens next. Bright Star hows, that even if you are one person, no matter your age, no matter who you are, there are things you can do to help change the world just by tackling one passionate issue at a time. There are a few spelling and grammar issues that need to be addressed but they were not often enough to cause a problem, I was able to read through them. The characters could be expanded a little more in some areas - either by more background or by making them more relatable. • Indulge, Warm Delicacy Series, Book 2 on Jan. 31, 2013

Indulge picks up where Savor left off and the action is non-stop! There are a few spelling/grammar/syntax errors that need to be addressed, but they are not enough to cause a problem while reading. There are several twists in the plot that I didn't expect to happen, the suspense and mystery is written so well that I think I have an idea about who or what may be the problem, but then something occurs that makes me question whether I am on the right track or not! One thing, for sure, is that Claire is beginning to embrace her destiny and the duty that seems to be only something that she can deal with. Claire is definitely coming into her own, with confidence, loyal friends, and her own self-discoveries. She is gaining the confidence and trust in herself that allow her to speak up when she feels that there is a better way of handling things. She is also finding out that she has some excellent insights on possible strategies that can be used to fight the evil that is coming - strategies that many of the older "clan" are either unwilling to try, or have not had any way to try to put into practice. Claire is learning to embrace the role of a leader. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!! It would be nice to see some more in-depth relationship with Claire's "newest" vampire parents to create a more solid relationship with them, as well as to possibly solidify the relationships for any future plot lines though. • The Bridge on Feb. 24, 2013

I absolutely loved, loved, loved The Bridge!!! I do have to say that there are a few spelling and grammatical errors, and a few places where the sentence structure could use a little bit more editing/proofreading. However, this was not bad enough to cause any problems with reading through those areas. With that said, I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the plot! The story was absolutely amazing! It has a wonderfully amazing supernatural element and I really loved the way the author portrayed Native American Shamans. The mystery was so intense and suspenseful ... I had a hard time putting the book down for any reason. The plot is full of twists and turns that kept me guessing and the ending was absolutely amazing with a twist that I did not expect! I really hope that the author, Allan Krummenacker, will write a sequel to this book! Either way, I look forward to reading more from this author! • Dreams of the Queen (The Brajj 1) on March 08, 2013

I really liked this book. It had a very unique perspective that I have not read before. The characters are believable, the story keeps you in suspense, and the ending was phenomenal. Definitely not how I expected it to end. There were a few spelling errors, but it didn't hinder my reading of the book. • Blood Slave on March 08, 2013

I really loved this book! I thought the way the relationship between the characters was portrayed from a unique perspective. The main characters were very believable, the story was an excellent read - very real-world portrayal of prostitution, sex-trafficking, and the drug trade. It kept me wondering when the next twist & turn in the story would be ... I couldn't put it down! I am curious to see if there will be some type of sequel. :) DISCLAIMER: This book was gifted to me by the author (through the Goodreads) website in exchange for an honest review. • Devour on March 21, 2013

First, I have to say ... I can't wait for the next book!!!!! At least, I'm hoping there will be a second book??!!!! I was absolutely, totally entranced by this book! There were one or two spots that I caught a spelling issue, but other than that, there is not really anything else that I found a problem with. I fell into the story within the first couple of pages, and I could not put the book down for the life of me!! There are many books I have read that pull me into the story and make me feel like I am totally immersed in the world of that book ... But this book was so much more than that. I felt like I was so much a part of watching this story unfold. I loved the characters, I felt like they were people I could live my life with, the were so realistic to me. I would love to see more about how life unfolds for Cody and Callie, but I would also love to see what happens with Jane and Chase. I also want to see what happens in Lana's life as things progress. I can't say enough positive about this book .... You absolutely have to read it and experience it for yourself! :) Again, I will say, Book Two ... Hopefully really, really soon!!!! :) I have read a couple of different books from Andrea Heltsley, and ALL of them have been such enthralling stories!! I look forward to reading so much more from this author! Andrea definitely has a wonderful talent for storytelling, and I am a whole-hearted fan and look forward to reading so much more from her ... Hopefully in the very near future!!!! :) DISCLAIMER: This book was gifted to me by the author (through the Goodreads) website in exchange for an honest review. • Night Calls on April 21, 2013

OMG!!!!! I Loved this book!!!!! There were so many places that I couldn't stop laughing!!!! It was such ironic but intense instances that I couldn't help it!! I can really relate to Nyx's character and attitude! I found a couple of spots in the book where certain words maybe needed to be changed but at the same time it didn't make a difference to me! :) I can't say enough about this book! I am starting the second one, hoping that it will be written in the same vein as the first one!! I have nothing but positive things to say about this book and I highly recommend it!!! :) DISCLAIMER: This book was gifted to me by the author (through the Goodreads) website in exchange for an honest review. • Night Marks on April 21, 2013

I loved this book just as much as I loved the first book in the series, Night Calls - Nyx Slaughter Book 1!! It picked up where book one left off and had just as much non-stop, intense action & suspense to it as the first book did! I love the character development and the plot that the author has put into this series! There are always more twists & turns than I anticipate. I highly recommend reading this series! • Night Bites on April 21, 2013

I loved this book just as much as I loved the first two books in the series! Book three picks off right where book two left off and had just as much non-stop, intense action & suspense to it as the first book did! I love this series and I can't wait to read the next book to come!! I highly recommend reading this series! • The Undead Heart (#1 in the Blood Thirst Series) on July 17, 2013

I really liked reading The Undead Heart! The characters are very well developed and the plot is captivating. There were several spots where spelling & grammar needs to be corrected, but it was still easy to read through, at least for me. I look forward to reading book Two! • Conflagration on July 17, 2013

This was a really good book. It is not the genre that I usually read, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading it. It turned out to be an excellent book. I loved the characters and the plot. I was never sure which direction the book was going to take, so it was always a surprise. I couldn't put it down!
