David Duane Kummer

Biography

Hi. My name is David Kummer. I'm an author that's only in high school and so I'm still learning and growing (I'm not Caillou, so sorry if that sounded like it. If I was Caillou, I'd tell you for sure.) and figuring out how to become a better author.

I live in Madison, Indiana, which is a small town on the Ohio River. There's lots of history and creepy places, which probably have influenced my writings. In my book SHE, most of the places and buildings are based off similar settings here in my home town, although I've changed them so that you wouldn't know really if I didn't tell you.

I would love to get to know you better, so email me at davidkummer7@gmail.com or check out my blog at davidkummer.com. If you review/rate my book on Amazon, I'll send you a free short story that you can't get anywhere else. I have a unique short story for each work I publish, so I promise you won't get any repeats.

I love getting to know people and talking books, sports, politics, favorite foods (mmmm) or whatever your area of interest is. (I'm much less creepy in person, I promise!)

What do your fans mean to you?
E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.
I love fans :) Which means I love you. So let's be friends.
Why is your name David Kummer?
Because my parents wanted a man-child with a manly-child name, and so they thought "DAVID!" and thenceforth I was born to be the king of Mars (except for that dude on the Martian.)

Without giving away any spoilers, I will tell this book was definitely one of the most emotional I've read! I wasn't sure what to expect coming in to this. I knew the author was good, and I'd read lots about the book, but never actually gotten a copy and read it. Boy am I glad that I did! This book pulled at all the right heartstrings (I think I said that right) and more than a few tears were shed. It was just so good. This book was very empowering and certainly inspirational. I recommend it to anybody that wants an inspiring read, or likes a good tearjerker book.
