David Drum


Biography

David Drum is an award-winning journalist and writer. He is the author or co-author of seven nonfiction books in the health area as well as the recent novel, Introducing the Richest Family in America.

David has worked as a newspaper reporter, a sports editor, a ranch foreman, an encyclopedia salesman, a short order book, an advertising copywriter, and an inner-city schoolteacher. He has been an independent writer since 1978.

A native of Wichita, Kansas, David is a graduate of Brevard College, the University of California at Riverside and the University of Iowa’s Writer’s Workshop.

David Drum's health books are known for their practical, well-researched content. Introducing the Richest Family in America, a comedy set in California and Cleveland, is his first novel.

A member of the AFT and UTLA, David is also the resident artist at Burning books Press. His artist's books are presently held in collections at the Museum of Modern Art Library, the John D. Rockefeller Library at Brown University, and other locations.

David Drum lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
