Jeff Dawson

I spent the last twenty-five years in road construction. I enjoyed the business but always wanted to write. When my best friend died in 2001 from a heart attack I put down in print all of the adventures we had shared. His niece put a book together and started it with our stories. I enjoyed the writing but didn't take it seriously as a business.

Eight years later I reunited with my high school sweetheart and was allowed to spend the most amazing seven months with the woman I had searched and sought after for thirty years. We shared a love you only read about or see in a movie. Her breast cancer returned and took her July of 2009. I did not know how to deal with the grief. Writing about our experiences has tremendously helped in the healing process. Along with those topics I have been heavily involved with youth baseball for thirty plus years and have wrote a easy to follow manual for coaching youths. The final book in this collection is one my daugher wrote, Romantic Erotic Encouters. She was a dancer for a few years earning extra cash for her family and shared some of the stories she heard during her career.

  The first poem Myth of Urvi is guaranteed to please the followers of Tolkien and others. It is the first mythical one I have ever read. I would definitely target the younger crowd to draw attention. Very nice. The rest of the works paint a wonderful adventure through life. We've all felt the emotions as we travel through our journey of life. Very well done. Almost forgot, I enjoyed the smattering of pictures through the work. They helped set the tone and allowed for reflection. I found few personal favorites: Dear Friend, Do not Change, The band of Friendship and last but not least, A child in you. This one reminded me of my dad. He passed at 84 but up until his departure he always had this childish gleam in his eyes. I believe it was his view of life (to never grow old) that kept him surrounded by great friends and company. He is missed. Thank you for the wonderful thoughts.

  I’ve never heard of this man or his feat in 875 A.D. I enjoyed the narrative style the author uses as Abbas is developing his wings and preparing to fly to the heavens. Good short Three Stars
