Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Springfield, Ohio.

Isabella, Bride of Ohio, is set in Yellow Springs, Ohio just fifteen minutes from my parents house. I was thrilled to be able to set this story near my hometown as book #17 in the American Mail Order Brides series which features a mail order bride from each of the fifty states.
When did you first start writing?
I've been creating stories in my imagination ever since I was a child. Had several of my poems published in literary magazines while I was in college at Marywood University. I wrote short stories during that time as well. After college I began writing novel length fiction.
