Myron Doc Downing
Biography
Myron K. Doc Downing is the lead supervising therapist for Affective Center for Therapy (ACT). He has been providing individual, couple, marriage and group therapy in the Central Vally of California for over 35 years. Doc has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Masters in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Doc specializes in the treatment of depression, anger management, anxiety disorders, PTSD, molest, domestic violence, abuse, dissociative disorders, relationship issues and parenting. He started Foster Friends, a State licensed foster family agency and served as director for over 15 years. He has worked for and helped create programs for Pleasant Valley men's prison and CCWF women's prison in California.
Over the years, Doc has given seminars on Parenting, Communications and Problem Solving, Relationship Building, Anger Management, Team Building and Keys to Success at Home and at Work. Doc had a live, call-in radio show on KMJ for 3 years. This was followed by a live, call-in TV show for 3 more years. He has authored three books:

He currently writes a monthly therapeutic blog.
