Publisher info

I live in Sioux City, Iowa. I have been here my whole life, and want to get as far away from here as possible. I live with my mom (the one person I love most in this world), while I attend college at Briar Cliff University. I started out at Western Iowa Tech. Community College (spending semester after semester trying to find my major), till I transferred after my first two years were completed. I am majoring in Graphic Design, along with a minor in Mass Communications (finally I was able to make up my mind).

I’m a big crazy animal lover. I have had all kinds of animals ever since I was little. I have had several hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, and dogs. I presently have a house full with two dogs (they are Chihuahua mixes) and two cats. There names are Trixie, Muffin, Joey and Zoe (they are spoiled rotten by me).

A few of my hobbies are drawing, walking, writing, and majorly reading (I have been a major book-worm since I was in 1st grade). I have always loved writing ever since I was little. I had teachers always telling me I was going to be a writer. This was mainly because they couldn’t get me to put down a book even if they paid me. I have always had an interest in drawing but I like to keep them to myself. It is just one of those hobbies I do for my own enjoyment. Luckily, my graphic design major will help me express this hobby in a new light.

I spend a lot of time outdoors (with the pets, admiring the sunsets and the beauty of the world). I use that time to come up with ideas for stories and especially for my book. I look forward to the years to come to all that I'm able to accomplish.

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was in second grade. I was always excited when we got a creative writing assignment. Especially, when it was around Halloween. I couldn't help but love the darker and spookier stories growing up.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My main joy is to help inspire younger generations to love reading as much as I do. I want them to find safety in the pages of my books and enjoy every word as I did writing them.
The look of joy on their face or zombie look as they are sucked into the book also is joyful.

  • Demon Hunt on Jan. 19, 2015

Renee Scattergood has outdone herself once again, by bringing a new direction into the Shadow Stalker series with her prequel novella, Demon Hunt. Scattergood shows a deep connection to this world of her creation, allowing her readers to stand side by side with Kado and Auren as they face a Demon from the shadow world. Auren faces a moral dilemma that could weigh on her for years to come, and one wrong decision has her and Kado racing against the clock. Scattergood builds tension with great force, as the hunt for a demon threatens, not only Kado and Auren, but innocent villagers throughout the Luten Isle.
  • Addy's Choice on March 22, 2015

This is a unique read that brings the value of friendship, family and most importantly love into great perspective. There are losses, gains, and self-discoveries throughout Addy’s Choice, which will leave you broken, happy, and practically smiling from ear to ear.
