Willard Thompson


Biography

Willard Thompson is an award-winning fiction writer, lecturer and historian living in Montecito, California. Dream Helper, his first novel in his Chronicles of California trilogy of historical novels, was selected for a gold medal by the Independent Publishers 2009 Book Awards as the best fiction in the Western/Pacific Region. The second novel in the Chronicles, Delfina’s Gold, will be published spring 2010.

His new novel, Delfina's Gold, the second of the Chronicles of California series will be published in Oct. 2010

Thompson was awarded The Sara Miller McCune Award by the John E. Profant Foundation for the Arts to write Dream Helper, which also won an award as a work in progress at the Santa Barbara Writers' Conference. In 2008 He won a Santa Barbara Writers Conference Community of Voices Scholarship.
