Even though this book was not my favorite genre, I enjoyed the easy style in which this author wrote. I felt as if Ryan Harper, the main character, was in the room with me telling me the story of his life as it happened. The story evoked every emotion. If it were a movie, I would call it a serious "chick flick." It reminded me of the movies you see on the Hallmark Channel. The people were real and I felt as if I were one of the people in Ryan's life as he was recounting the events in his life. The only thing that bugged me was that the main character had a cat. I don't know any men who own cats, but that's just me. I have not given a book a five star in a long time and, technically, this was a novella. This book deserved it.
