Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
My 7 year old daughter was my total inspiration. She loved writing and one Sunday morning asked if we could write a book, not together but one each! And so the story began. Rebecca-May has won the day though as her first title 'Christmas Eve' was published and printed before any of mine.

I loved reading books to my children however I found that many modern day books portrayed a negative and/or incorporated varying types of rudeness and/or fear into the dialog therefore I made it my quest to produce warm, good feeling, uplifting books to help children realise and remember that they are innately good at heart and that life is about having fun.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords offered an avenue into a publishing world that otherwise could have easily remain closed due to the small percentage of books accepted by publishers in general.
