This book was GOOD. I'm no big fan of Regency so I wouldn't know if there were any minor historical inaccuracies, but as far as the story goes, I couldn't put the book down for my life. It got interesting on the first page, and just as you thought you knew where you were, something new and unexpected happened... on every single page. This is definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who likes a fast-paced, engaging story. Here's from someone who started the book looking for an evening's relaxation and ended it with a smile at 4 a.m. after over 5 hours of nonstop reading. Thanks, Brenda Hiatt - I now have a crick in my neck and a lot of sleep to catch up on - but it was all so totally worth it that I had to sign in and write this review first thing when I (finally) woke up. *sighing wistfully I wish I could write as well.

Loved this book. Good plot, well-written characters, realistic ending. SPOILERS AHEAD I was hoping for them to end up together. But seriously, not even a good-bye kiss? As I was on the second-to-last page, I realized that it was never going to happen. The story left me feeling like Helen undoubtedly was at that moment - sad and frustrated. Which is probably what the author wanted, so brownie points for that! Ii did leave me hanging on more than one point, though. It felt like reading a piece of someone´s diary - what happened to them? To their mission? I´m just supposed to believe that since the Nazis were defeated, they must have succeeded? (I wanted to know how many cats she got.) I also had a problem with Helen´s desire to be remembered as a hero. If her original plan had gone through, no one would have known about her. Oh well... the book gets 5 stars from me anyway because I liked it.
