I loved this novel. I like character driven novels anyway, and books like this one are the reason why. It was also taut; I had to see what happened. I love it when characters take on lives of their own, and I loved the timeless, chivalrous quality of the romantic undercurrent in this story. Suspense, mystery, an incredible setting, forbidden love and heroism all together are a potent combo. I hope a sequel is around the corner.
