Lex R. Brown II

Biography

I'm an Operation Iraqi Freedom Military Veteran. I have an AAS Degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force and a BA in Business/Organizational Management from Ashford University.

I enjoy doing many creative things, including songwriting, music recording, and poetry. I am an avid reader (my favorite books so far are "The Alchemist" and "The Pilgrimage" by Paulo Coelho). I'm also into CrossFit, Boxing, Mixed-Martial Arts, and overall living a healthy lifestyle.

At 18 I co-founded and ran an independent label called New Raw Breed Entertainment with grammy-nominated producer Jeron Ward and three other partners. The company was later dissolved amicably, as we all moved forward with college educations and separate career moves. From 2007 to 2009 I was a Board Operator and On-Air Talent with Clear Channel Radio in Panama City, Florida. I had my very own show on the weekends on WEBZ 99.3 the Beat. During that time frame I was afforded an opportunity as a hip hop music recording artist to perform as an opening act for Rick Ross at the Marina Civic Center. I made an untimely departure from Clear Channel Radio due to receiving military orders to travel to South Korea in 2009 (where I was stationed until August of 2010).

In July 2010 I launched Rebelized Culture LLC, and in May 2012 I officially left active duty military service to run my company full-time. The first venture of our brand is Rebelized Culture Magazine (www.RebelizedCultureMagazine.com). We are launching a pilot issue in November 2012 and we will continue building our brand's publication throughout the year.

The driving force behind my vision is a passion for diversity, creativity, community, balance, and truth. My brand "Rebelized Culture' will always go beyond the status quo, amplifying voices of those being ignored or minimized, bypassing gatekeepers of certain industries, uncovering news stories buried by the mainstream press, and shedding light on new talent across the globe.

Instead of a platform I'm intent on building a launch pad for music careers, new and lesser known authors, indie films, and especially social & political movements.
