My friend Janis Hoffman, who wishes to remain anonymous, is writing about the wild adventures of a highly intelligent, self-centered brat, Alice, who discovers the ancient Egyptian World of Shadow and runs circles around people at UC Berkeley.

Our goal is to expand what you can think, feel and create, to invite you to the dance. My books include: two in the area of self-help psychology; papers, such as how to create useful idiots; and, a play and book about what happens when a group of university professors invite a shaman from the Sonoran Desert to share his world.

A serious warning! You need a firm grip on reality and a reasonably stable life, otherwise best to pass on by.

And not for the easily offended! Adult language is used when appropriate to the narrative, as in ALICE, and techniques for enhancing sexuality are given in MIND TRIPPING. Taboos are broken. Political correctness ignored. Old habits and ways of thinking challenged.

Smashwords book reviews by Ernest Kinnie

  • Mirror Reversal on June 17, 2013

Maybe this book was written by a guy who has led a full, life, with his eyes wide open, and a great imagination. But, I suspect it was written by a woman with a fake name, who has had considerable real world experience on the street, to put it as nicely as I can. Either way, the settings in the book are wonderfully REAL and so are the people. Beautifully written, outrageous, and over the top. The book is either hilariously funny or horribly serious, depending on your mood and belief system. I read the hard cover edition a year ago but only gave it four stars because parts of the book were a little too polemical for me. No problem this time. Now the polemics are nicely woven into the story, so it well deserves an unqualified 5 stars. If you want a fun romp in the sun and a weird journey through the mirror, buy the book.
