  • Grave Promise on Sep. 25, 2013

David R Lewis spins another wonderful tale in the CROCKETT SERIES with his new, character-driven adventure, GRAVE PROMISE. Although David Allan Crockett doesn't want to believe it at first, when he gets his brain wrapped around the facts and fragrances of life in their new digs, he meets a lovely, model-type beauty who has been missing for a long time. Where did she go? What does she want with him? Why is she back? Who is behind it all? And when do we eat? It's a Crockett book. So expect good food, fine wine, plenty of sexual tension, and deep friendship. All that, and one kick-ass cat! If you appreciate style make yourself at home, and have a good read. You deserve this.., again!
  • The Nodaway Trail on Sep. 25, 2013

5.0 out of 5 stars ON THE NODAWAY TRAIL, September 7, 2013 This review is from: Nodaway Trail (the TRAIL series) (Kindle Edition) I am a voracious consumer of audio stories. I have stalked the files of archive.org as well as otr.net (old time radio!) and I know the difference between quality, and content. You can do the research yourselves folks. I tell you, you won't find better story-telling, period, than these David R Lewis books. Not from anyone out there today. The name David R Lewis fits comfortably in the company of a Jean Shepard, and you don't say, (or take), a thing like that lightly. I have read two of Lewis' other novels, and heard some of his children's stories. He is a writer/voice actor who brings a fresh and sparkling talent to all who would hear, or read. If you ever haven't liked audio books in the past much, or were ever really disappointed by an audio book, do yourself this favor. You, after all, deserve a treat. To begin with, I would suggest you take the Deer Run Trail, then the Nodaway Trail. Relax for a while with a master story-teller. And along the trip you will meet some old friends! It has been a pleasure sharing my thoughts. Devour, and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars CALL ME CROCKETT, August 19, 2013 This review is from: Call Me Crockett (The Crockett Series) (Kindle Edition) CALL ME CROCKETT, a book review, by Eugene Creighton Fantastic! I just put it down. This story has the reader from the get-go because it's characters' individual personalities are so well written, to a depth that rings so true, that we believe these characters to indeed, be real people. When a story-teller writes this well, and writes from this perspective, I relax into that book. And I am easily drawn along through the story, because it is real to me. Instead of the reading becoming a chore, the way reading a poorly written story can, with writer David R Lewis at the controls, the entire reading experience is simply a smooth ride. Fun from start to finish, this was a good read. While reading along, I was searching for the reasoning behind this title, and boy did I find it! Good book. Great title! I liked it so much I did not want to see it end, but what an ending! Next offering Mister Lewis, if you please!
  • The Deer Run Trail on Sep. 25, 2013

5.0 out of 5 stars ON THE DEER RUN TRAIL, September 5, 2013 This review is from: Deer Run Trail [LegacyTitleID: 32174491] I could write a one word review for this book.., Fun! What else are you looking for? When you combine writing genius with masterfully creative narration, this is the end result. Fun. See ya ON THE TRAIL stranger! Brice C.
  • The Endless Journey Toward an Unknown Destination on Nov. 12, 2013

Fascinating? Check. Brilliant? I was a high C, low B student.., let's just go with fascinating. Mysteriously touching - -Yes cops really can be very touching people.., while oftentimes hilarious, David R Lewis has penned a wonderfully honest look at how he got this way. For those of you who ever wished you would have loosed the bonds of convention, ENDLESS JOURNEY TO AN UNKNOWN DESTINATION takes a look at someone who did so.., and then some. Mister Lewis shares this tale of living, with heart.... eyes wide open, child-like heart. Within the book, the author tells us his truth. My truth is that I loved his honesty. Likewise, I loved this book. While reading this, it made me feel good. It picked me up! I'll take that. Anytime. I hope others will too. Enjoy yourselves, Eugene C.
