Evanne Beth Jordan was encouraged to write imaginative stories by her third grade teacher and has been writing ever since. She graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a BA in Literature and Creative Writing ('76) and then continued her education by obtaining a Multiple Teaching Credential/Emphasis Early Childhood Education ('78).
Evanne has been an Early Educator/Trainer for over 30 years. In that time she has written several children's books, educational trainings, and poetry. Evanne has published articles in newspapers and magazines regarding issues ranging from adoption,and military family life to spiritual awareness.

Evanne's first book, Firefly Night, was inspired by a wonderful evening spent watching two young friends catch fireflies on a warm summer night in Great Lakes, Illinois.
All of Evanne's books- soon to be published- were inspired by actual events experienced by her young friends and students.
The illustrator, Mary Ruth Patchin, handpainted the beautiful images in Firefly Night. Mary Ruth is a freelance artist living in Seattle.
