Biography

Denice's book, DRAGON CLOUD, is a recent winner in the pre-teen category of the 2011 Global eBook Awards.

She is a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature with a specialty in fantasy, humor, adventure and drama. She has studied screenwriting with Cynthia Whitcomb, a playwright, T.V. and screenwriter. At Screenwriting U, she has taken numerous online courses from Hal Croasmun, a Hollywood writer/producer, owner of Class 3 Entertainment.

Denice is a member of the ProSeries Alumni, an active online group of dedicated screenwriters and SCBWI-OREGON, a society for children’s writers and illustrators. She is also a member of the High Desert Screenwriters in Bend, Oregon.

Denice was a finalist in Hal Croasmun’s first Biz of Screenwriting Contest. She has been a preliminary judge in his second Biz of Screenwriting Contest and the 2011 Global eBook Awards. She gives consultations and is well-acquainted with the structure, characterization and emotion needed to create writing of any kind.
