  • The Species of Alone on Aug. 04, 2011

I love a good fantasy story and this one is filled with weres, magic, and fighting, can't get much better than than. The plot and theme are interseting and the storyline really pulls you in. The character's have depth, room for growth, and are relatable in in someways. My only complaint is it is too short, I was really looking for more to the story and some more details.
  • The Species of Rivals on Aug. 04, 2011

This is a rare encounter for me but the sequal was even better! It built upon the first and improved, longer, more detail, and more depth. I am really looking forward to the sequal. My only complaint/wish is I would like even more detail, I really want to know more about this world, the characters, and everything in it. I would love to see a rewrite of this as a full blown book with each one of these short stories being a chapter (but I understand that it would be such a time consuming and labor intesive endevour).
  • Unexpected Relationships on Aug. 04, 2011

This is a very sweet story of how the relationship between Burt and Kevin started. It doesn't go into too much detail beyond that but its a great prologue to "Carpe Diem" (if you haven't read Graveyard Greg's webcomic yet then I suggest you start now! Especially if you like this story). I wish there was more detail and would love to see more of these in the future, or better yet a comic version or some illustrations every now and then would be more visually pleasing.

This is a wonderful novella. It intertwines Russian folk lore and myths into the life of an ordinary foreign exchange student. You really get to know the main character, Ivan, and see him develop and grow as he struggles through his ordeals and watch the relationships formed from the people he meets unfold as he combats deadly monsters. Plus Ivan is a buff fluffy snow leapord who has a Russian accent, what more do you need? I would really love to see a sequal to this or see this go from novella to novel.
