What do you read for pleasure?
I'm currently reading "Origins" by Dan Brown. As an author, I read, not so much for the story as I do for the structure of a good story. Of course Dan Brown is a master at structure. As I wrote my first three books as a series - started by a poem I wrote 20 years earlier about a hitchhiker, I started reading Lee Child's, "Reacher" series based on a suggestion from a friend. I like Child's obvious anger with government and rules. While my character "Vince Roberts" is a law abiding hitchhiker in a day and age where hitchhiking is almost illegal, "Reacher" is the rebellious mover and shaker my character could be and is when pushed.
I also read scientific research articles. For example, I'm fascinated by nanotechnology for medical treatment seeing both the positive as well as the future negatives of this technology
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I love my Nook. I bought mine and one for my daughter who is also a writer and avid reader. I can use it at night to help me sleep without disturbing the wife's sleep.
